What is health equity?
Health equity is where everyone in the community has a fair and equal opportunity to attain their highest health condition.
Health equity is not universally implemented yet, and in Korea it is also considered a problem as health equity is not implemented.
How do you advocate for it?
Engage in community centered advocacy
Use tools to address problems within communities
There is an project called “EveryONE project” to promote health equity
Leverage strategic partnerships
Collaborate with people who are also interested to bring change
Some ideas are local health agencies, non profit organization, and community organizations
Conclusion:
Through participating and collaborating with communities, policy changes will happen regarding health equity.
